ProQuest is a research database that allows you to search for topics by entering a word or a string of words. The key to successful topic searching is to be precise in what you are looking for.

ProQuest Newstand is a collection of electronic articles from over 1,500 state, regional, national, and international newspapers.

CINAHL stands for Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature. This index is the largest and deepest nursing research database. The database contains the full text of 768 journals and 5,000 indexed nursing and allied health field journals.

If you have issues with any of the links above, please use the following information to access the Library resources.

  1. To access any of the Library resources, click on the ProQuest-EBSCO-CINAHL link on the main page of SHARC or in the library.
  2. Log into the Library using your firstname.lastname as the User ID (no punctation or spaces in names) and your email address as the Password. Username Example: Jessica O'Neal-Hawkins would be jessica.onealhawkins
  3. The usernames and passwords for all of the databases are displayed on the perspective banner for the site. Click which database you want to use, it will open in a new tab, then copy and paste the username and password. Remember that for ProQuest you will use the 'Or log in with your ProQuest Account' area.
